Top 3 Outdoor Uses for Limestone

You like the look of limestone, but you’re trying to determine how to best incorporate it into your outdoor space. At Garrity Stone, Inc., we get many people who ask about our selection of quality limestone. Over the years, we’ve compiled this list of our favorite ways we’ve seen customers use limestone at their Indianapolis homes.

1. Outdoor kitchen countertops

We love a quality outdoor kitchen. What better way to spend the summer than cooking outdoors and spending time with friends and family? What can set your outdoor kitchen apart is a custom-made smooth limestone bar top.

2. Steps

Give your home or garden that extra bit of character by using limestone in your steps design. You may decide to mix it with other stone products or let the limestone stand alone, either as a natural or smooth-top surface.

3. Wall coping

If you've built a retaining wall or have a half wall that serves as a barrier in your patio or outdoor kitchen space, you can set it apart with limestone wall coping. It gives your wall a finished look and dimension you couldn't get from bricks or from one type of stone from top to bottom.

These uses of limestone are only a few of our favorites. If you want more ideas on how to incorporate limestone into your home (both inside and out), then let our staff at Garrity Stone help you out. If there's anything we know, it's stone.

At Garrity Stone of Indianapolis, we carry only the best limestone, flagstone, boulders, and other stone materials. We take pride in our quality products and customer service. We even offer stone delivery to residents throughout Indiana. To find out more, stop by our Indianapolis location anytime, or contact us at (317) 546-0893.
